Bootie protection
I wear these over my MRS dry pants booties; they provide the protection I’m looking for although I would not want to walk a long distance as they have no arch support. These work for my use.

Great, but the size chart is not correct
The socks are well made and perform as expected. NRS customer service is excellent.
The size chart should be updated. I'm a men's 9 or 10, and the large was too big. I ordered a medium which fit much better. I probably could have squeezed into a small.
I would suggest ordering at least one size down from the chart.

Great socks
Paired these socks with kicker wet shoes, great extra insulation when in cooler waters.

Comfy, warm, dry quickly. Bulky.
I've had these awhile. Used once last winter for canoe trip and they worked fine. Used them yesterday under too-large river shoes someone gave me--the socks are bulky and don't fit under any of my normal (non sandal) water shoes. I loved them even better than my Remix wetsuit booties, which is saying a lot. Both keep my feet warm but the socks felt better on my feet and dried quickly. (Cold river whitewater IK trip.)

Great at keeping sand out, but no cushion on the soles
Very thin and not at all cushiony on the bottom but serve a purpose as and I wear them frequently. They keep sand out better than sandals or the water shoes I have tried. Good for warm weather. They're not great for walking on rough surfaces, in or out of the water, but I just put them on and take them off at the shoreline, get right into or out of my kayak, and they do their job.

Great for wearing with the Kicker
I have big feet when compared to my leg length so a lot of paddling shoes don't fit in my kayak when the bulkhead is adjusted for my legs. I have been using the Astral Hiyak which I love but are just too snug in my new kayak. have the NRS freestyle bootie but wanted something with a tougher sole so I decided to try the NRS Kicker with these Sandal Socks. I bought the men's Kicker because I wanted black. The socks fit great in the Kickers. They are comfortable and the perfect height. The quality is great. I am happy with this combo.
