Adhesive backed comfortable seat pad
I lost my old yakpad somewhere after using it for a few years. It wasn't fastened to the kayak and it probably got left behind when I flipped the boat to drain the water. This pad is a bit thinner but seems to do the trick. I didn't realize it when I ordered it, but this pad comes with an adhesive backing which seems to work well. I have paddled with it at least half a dozen times so far and it is comfortable and I won't be losing this one. No signs of any adhesive failure.

First sight as skeptical
At first I was skeptical due to the size of the pads as my office chair is thick memory foam and I get a soar backside if I sit to long. We kayaked for two hours on a lake and I didn't have any problems and it was comfortable.

Bought these for my boys who slalom kayak. Slalom kayaks have no seat padding, so these make a big difference in comfort. Would be excellent for older kayaks that had no seat padding like the newer boats.

Comfort is key in kayaking!
The kayak seat pad was perfect for me. It fit beautifully in my beloved Old Town Otter. I was so much more comfortable with it under me. I wish I had had the idea to get this years ago. Incidentally, I wore my new NRS Boundary Shoe (the tall boots, water-proof) for the first time this fall kayaking. My feet were never cold, wet or too hot! A great investment in comfort for both items.

The adhesive tape was very strong. I actually had a hard time getting it off. The cushion was nice but does not work in a surf ski because in a ski your butt needs to slide. You need a very slippery cushion. This cushion was very nice but does not have a slippery surface.

Nice but one issue...
Nice foam pad but the glue failed in 2 days without the pad even being used. I had the boat inside upside down on saw horses and the pad fell off some time in the night. This was on a fiberglass seat and I cleaned the surface before applying the pad. It is a nice pad, but an alternative glue may be necessary.
