The Scotty Flush Deck Mount 244 fits right into your kayak deck and accepts all Scotty post mount rod holders. The bottom of the receptacle is sealed, and the attached cover keeps out splash.
- Just cut a 1 3/8" hole in the deck to affix the 4" x 2" x 2" mount.
- Bolting pattern is 1 5/16" x 3 3/16". Bolts not included.
- Apply a bead of silicone sealer under the mount to ensure it's watertight.

Flush Mount Rod Holder Receptacles
I've used above deck mounts for years. Recessing the rod holder mounts and making them flush with the deck is one of the best moves I've made. Where the former holders were always catching debris and getting in the way when paddling, these serve exactly the same purpose and eliminate all of those problems. My only complaint, if it can be called that, is that on some kayak models a slightly narrower mount body would have made it easier to install. However, that's more a fault of the kayak design than the mount itself.
