Product Tips

When folding your deflated SUP board for transport or storage, it is very important to keep the fin plates flat. Folding the fin plates will deform them, making it impossible to insert your fins. Here on the product page, watch the video "How To Deflate Your Inflatable SUP Board" for a demonstration.

Great board
This is a very nice SUP board. I find it to be fast and stable in all conditions and I am a six foot 220 pound guy. The backpack it comes packed in is far nicer than I expected, the pump is ok but hand pumping is no fun. The color is far more orange than it appears online. I would not hesitate to buy another SUP from NRS.

Fast and Great Gear Capacity
Great inflatable SUP. I’ve paddled around Mercer Island with it on Lake Wa and it does great! Only thing is it didn’t come with a leash which was kind of lame but besides that great service.

I love the escape but unfortunately it got a puncture on the bottom surface towards the nose/bow. Not sure if that is covered by warranty or not. Otherwise a great board!

Exactly what we wanted
This board is everything I hoped it would be and more. I live in a condo so space is a premium for me. I love that I can keep this board rolled up in my storage closet, take it to the water without a roof rack, blow it up with the included pump (takes me about 10 minutes), and be on the water. I have the 12'6" and I love it. It handles really well, and way better than I ever thought an inflatable would. It actually glides and tracks! A lot of people don't even realize it's an inflatable until I tell them. The wrapped handle is super nice if I have a longer carry to or from the water. If I do keep it inflated, the pressure relief valve is really good peace of mind. This is a really great product. I am extremely happy with my decision.

NRS, board builder... marriage counselor?
FYI- we bought the 14' version. I am competitive SUP racer, so when I am not on a carbon race board, I am somewhat disappointed. It made renting boards when I travelled almost useless, which sucked because here was my chance to chill with my wife and enjoy a sport we love together. So, we looked at inflatable options, but many of these are so soft it is a waste of time and money. After a demo day, my minded changed... somewhat. The NRS boards are not my carbon race board, but I was impressed with how stiff it was. Enough so for my wife and I to now be able to enjoy our vacations on the water. This is my go to board racing and everyday fun.
I am only 5'3" tall so having a narrow board ensures I can carry it much easier. This board at 32" is stable, easy to carry and it's length of 11'6" makes It easy to steer and control. I've used it for our local whitewater race and it was a great choice. I love this board.

Definitely an A+
I SUP a lot in the spring, summer & fall in the northeast. I bought this board so I wouldn't have to put my hard board on & off my van while away on vacation in the Keys. It takes a bit of energy to pump up but when done it's the stiffest inflatable I've ever paddled. I like the relief valve safety. It did great in waves on the ocean, paddling the mangroves with my golden retriever, & fishing. The two bungees are great to tie down gear & hook my paddle in when fishing. I would highly recommend it for it's all-round use & ease of transporting. I would recommend an electric pump unless you want a workout.

Why did you choose this?

This will be my second Escape touring board. I have a 11.6 and am now getting a 12.6. The board cuts through water like butter!

All you had left!

This was in NRS's line up of boards for the style I wanted. I am intending to paddle on fairly flat water.
