Same grip as I've used to 20 years, works well.
I've used these particular oar grips for many years, seem to work just fine. The previous pair lasted for about 20 years of Class I and II water with an average of 4 floats per year of 4 hour each, 50% rowing. Would be good if leading edge at end of the grip that is located at the end of the oar handle had a narrow rubber/silicon band around grip to mitigate tearing.

Quality has declined
Put new pads on last year as I do every five years or so. One ripped off under normal use on the second trip. I'm no longer recommending these, and will try grip tape this season.

Wouldn't recommend. Quality has declined.
One of the oar grips fell apart after three days. Prior Carlisle grips lasted a couple seasons. Quality has definitely gone down on this product.

If I could give no stars, I would.
These grips are soft and super comfortable, but as soon as you use them, they fall apart. I put these grips on and the first time out both oars were ripped about 5 miles down river. Do not buy these grips, you will be disappointed. Waste of money!!!

Foam grips work great!
I bought some used copper pipe (instead of the normal aluminum) shaft oars and the padded grips work great. Just a little bit of glue was placed on the pipe before installing the grips and after rowing for about 90 minutes, they showed no sign of slipping. They are comfortable and make gripping the oars easy. Good product, easy, easy to install and they appear to be well made.

Better than wearing gloves!
I have some osteo arthritis in my fingers and these foam grips really help. But difficult to get on oars with hair spray, so I used some slippery UV protectant similar to 303 and it was easy to install.

nice grip too flimsy
almost need to have better grip than gloves. however a better more lasting version has to be on drawing board somewhere. else make them 2 for $5
