Carries all of my "stuff" with ease

Overall I really like this bag. It has plenty of storage room, inside and out, and seems well made. I gave it 4 stars instead of five due to two design flaws.
1) They claim that the plastic insert will automatically spread to the correct position in the bag… it won’t. This could have easily been fixed by adding some corner pockets to secure it in place.
2) The clips that it uses to attach to the decking are not adjustable in length. They are not long enough to clip to the cords running along the sides of my boat. Instead they attach to two cords running from the left to right side. This means there is nothing keeping the bag from sliding off to one side. I didn’t notice this until I was doing some safety drills and flipping my boat over. The first time I did it, I rolled right back up. But on subsequent attempts I was unable to roll. It took me a minute to realize that the bag had slipped to the side, throwing off the center of gravity of the boat, and forcing me to exit the boat to right it before attempting to re-enter. Now I never paddle with this deck bag without adding additional straps or carabiners to secure it into place.

Received this is a Christmas gift. Started off strong, but problems developed quickly. The mesh for the exterior pocket frayed and holed. No problem ... weave some other mesh over it, make do. Well, the zippers jam and corrode easily based on how they're placed, whether you're in freshwater (my usual paddling conditions) or salt water, despite cleaning w/fresh water after each paddle, being allowed to dry and periodically treating w/NRS gear aid zipper lube stick. So, now the zipper pull for the mesh pocket has broken, rendering the pocket sealed and useless. The zippers to the main pocket are in danger of the same thing happening. So disappointing.

While I love this bag, I do not like the plastic insert that creates the form of the bag. It absolutely will not stay put in the bag correctly. Drives me nuts. Best part of the bag is the cup holder accessory that you must by separately.

Looking good! Just waiting for the water to thaw here in Utah so I can out there.

I can fit quite a bit in this bag-paddle jacket, water bottle, first aid kit, sponge, throw line, charts. The small pocket fits my car keys, snacks, and other misc items I don't want in my pockets while paddling. Keeps everything dry and easy to access. My only complaint and reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it slides around quite a bit when my kayaks is tipped and has even gone into the water. I had to rig up some stationary loops on my deck lines to attach it to.

Great bag. Hooks work well. Only setback is that the bag can easily lose shape.
