Product Details

Class V paddlers looking for Class V protection who prefer less bulk in the chest will love the premium performance and maximum range of motion that the Women’s Phenom GORE-TEX® Pro Dry Suit delivers. Mimicking the design of the popular Axiom, the Phenom features a back-entry zipper and dropseat relief zipper.
  • Constructed with 3-Layer GORE-TEX Pro for best-in-class durable, waterproof-windproof-breathable performance.
  • To reduce its environmental footprint, GORE-TEX Pro uses 100% recycled nylon face fabric, lower-impact DWR, and backer material that is dope dyed to reduce water usage, pollution and energy use.
  • Back-entry design reduces bulk, enhancing range of motion and eliminating water pooling between a front zipper and your sprayskirt tunnel and dripping into the cockpit.
  • 5" wide neoprene waist overskirt with double-pull hook-and-loop closure fits over your sprayskirt tunnel for a watertight seal.
  • Tough latex neck and wrist gaskets protected with GlideSkin™ neoprene volcano-style overcuffs.
  • Purposely designed to keep paddlers drier in high-volume waters, the volcano-style overcuffs cover more surface area from the wrist to the hand to reduce water contact with the gaskets underneath.
  • Tough yet supple mesh holes under the wrists and neck drain any water captured between the latex gasket and the neoprene over cuffs.
  • Back-entry YKK® Aquaseal™ zipper with protective flap.
  • Cordura® panel at the interior ankle for abrasion resistance.
  • Gathered ankle design features an elastic band to fit snug over booties. Silicone dots keep the ankle from riding up.
  • Features one splashproof zippered chest pocket, drop-seat relief zipper and GORE-TEX Pro fabric socks.

Great drysuit, very tight gaskets!
I am a long time Kokotat drysuit person. The bottom line is they just don't fit me--the medium is too small in the top and the large is too big in the bottom. I decided to try the NRS drysuits. By the descriptions, ordered the Axiom in the medium and the Phenom in the large. The Axiom was too small in the top and baggy in the bottom. The trimmer cut of the Phenom is a great fit in the bottom and top is perfect. I wear a size 10.5 shoe and the booties are perfect--not too big. It is dry and comfortable. I question how the elastic around the ankle will wear as I'm used to a velcro closure. The one problem I've had is that the gaskets, and more the neoprene of the neck and wrists, are tighter than any drysuit or dry top I've ever had. Seriously. If my husband hadn't been home to help me get it off the first time I put it on, I'm sure I would have passed out. I was almost purple! I ended up stretching all three for weeks since I got it. I'm now stretching the neoprene alone.

Why did you choose this?

gore tex for breathability and rear entry for comfort in use

I prefer the backzip for less bulk, and the GORE-TEX Pro Dry Suit for daily raft guiding.

The fit was the best I found between different brands. I am 170 lbs, 5ft 4. So I am quite short with large torso and hips. Also, i was looking for a back entry option. Very rare for female paddlers…
